COURSE OVERVIEW

Pharmacy is the science concerned with therapeutic substances; their discovery, origin and nature, their development into medicines and their use in disease prevention and treatment. Pharmacy also denotes the profession which uses its unique knowledge of medicines in the service of society.

 

Throughout this course, the students develop an understanding of basic scientific methods; develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills which they have acquired in the duration of the course of study. The curriculum has incorporated subjects theoretically and practically which will assist in critical thinking and analytical thinking skills, hence cover areas on problem-solving and decision-making.

 

A career in pharmacy can be versatile and highly rewarding. Pharmacy diploma holder can choose to work mainly with people, by using their unique knowledge and skills in patient care. Beside this, they also can choose to focus mainly on products skills, clinical research, formulation research and development, production, quality assurance, regulatory affairs and marketing.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Academic Qualification Entry Requirements
SPM / SPMV / O-Level Pass with minimum 3 credits, including 1 science subject
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Pass with minimum 3 credits, including 1 science subject
Certificate Certificate in science fields from a recognized institution by the government of Malaysia with a CGPA of 2.0, and SPM pass in Bahasa Melayu
Others Other equivalent qualifications as recognized by the government of Malaysia

Applicants who fail to meet the above requirements will be required to first enroll in Oasis College Intensive Language Programme until they meet the minimum requirement.
